Deleting albums

Deleting albums

Hi

i was told that I had too many albums on my phone so had to delete a few before I could download new ones (on premium subscription). Even though I now have far less, deleting about 7 albums I'm still told I cannot download unless I delete more. Adequate space on my phone too. Please help?

Hey @Benmellows!

We'd recommend checking your Storage first. To do this, go to the iPhone's Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage. From here, you can Manage Storage for your Device and for your iCloud. We'd suggest having a serious clear-out of any unused apps or files in both locations.

Then, check for an iOS update. Go back to the General menu in Settings and find the Software Update menu. If prompted to upgrade, do.

Once you've done all this, make sure you're on a stable WiFi connection before going back into Spotify to attempt downloading more albums for offline listening.

If you're noticing cache issues, you can reset everything by clicking 'Remove all devices' in the Offline Devices section on your Account page. This'll reset everything and you can start fresh with downloading tracks.

For more tips on Offline Mode, we'd also suggest taking a read of this.

Hope this helps!
