Edit playlist on iPhone

My Question or Issue

I’m not able to edit playlists anymore. This changed a month ago. See screenshot. The drag and drop buttons are gone.

Are you on the free plan or the premium plan?

According to this support article, this feature is now a premium only feature. Free users can still rearrange the song order in playlists using the desktop app.

Edit a playlist

Tap on the playlist, then Edit playlist:

• Remove songs or podcast episodes with  .
• To reorder songs or podcast episodes, tap, hold, and drag   (Premium only).

If you are a premium user and you can't rearrange songs in a playlist it could be because you have changed the sort order of the playlist.

The order needs to be set to "custom order" to be able to change the song order when editing the playlist.

Sort songs in playlists

For iPhone/iPad: 

1. Go to the playlist you’d like to sort.
2. Pull down and release to display   in the top-right corner. Tap it.
   Note: To sort Liked Songs, pull down and tap Filters in the top-right corner.
3. Tap how you’d like to sort e.g. by Recently added.

For Android: 

1. Go to the playlist you’d like to sort.
2. Tap   in the top-right corner.
3. Tap Sort playlist.
   Note: In Liked Songs, tap Sort Liked Songs.
4. Tap how you’d like to sort e.g. by Recently added.

Note: Sort options may vary depending on the list you’re sorting.

This no longer works, I have Spotify premium, and I can not drag and drop [this used to work, but not any more , it does let you drag, but will not let you drop so the song just bounces back ]- do you have other suggestions ?

Could you send us the make/model, OS version and Spotify version installed on your device?

Lastly, let us know if this is happening when trying to add songs to other playlists.
