Followed steps to get local files on iPhone, did not work

I followed the steps to sync my local files to my iPhone spotify as given on the spotify website but when I follow the steps, my local files are still greyed out and will not play on my iPhone but will play on my computer. Someone please help. Thank you

You need to put Local Files in playlists in the Desktop app, and then synch them to your phone. Making the playlists is important, as the FAQ details in the process.

If both devices are in the same wifi network, open Spotify in both at the same time and double check that your phone appears in the Desktop app in Devices in the bottom right.
