Getting premium offline playlists onto 7th generation ipod nano

Getting premium offline playlists onto 7th generation ipod nano

old posts mention an update that would fix this problem but i have a brand new ipod 7th gen nano and have signed up to premium but can't find how to get the offline functionality working on the ipod. Please tell me this has been fixed and can now be done via a desktop - desperately looking for a solution please!thanks

It has never been possible to synchronise offline playlists to any iPods other than the iPod Touch. Local songs you had imported into Spotify from your computer could previously be synchonised with other iPods, but this functionality non longer works for the 6th and 7th generation iPod Nanos which use a Lighning connector - there are no plans to fix this because, to quote the bug here:

We won't be fixing this. But, because you can only sync local tracks, the mentioned workaround to use iTunes works fine.
