Hearts are inaccurate

My Question or Issue

I am coming across songs that have the heart filled in that i haven't liked yet, and then when i click the heart it becomes unfilled and i get an "added to liked songs" notification. The opposite is also occurring where songs that i have already liked are showing up with an unfilled heart and if i click it to fill in the heart i get a "removed from liked songs" notification. Have tried doing several clean reinstalls of the app without fixing this issue. any recommendations?

Can you let us know if this is happening only on your iPhone or on other devices too?

Also, let us know how many liked songs you currently have on your account.

This is happening to me as well and it’s really frustrating bc I tried the uninstall and reinstall and it just started happening like around the same time as this post.  

please help us find a fix bc it’s probably happening to a lot of people but no one has the time to post on this things or they may not even notice.  

My release radar today was all hearted when each track played but not actually when bc all the songs are new.  

Then I’ll exit the app and it will reset and be back to normal again.  Almost like a glitch that shows up randomly and you don’t know when it appears and when it doesn’t.

For anyone experiencing this after the clean reinstall, please provide us with the following info:

• Device model, OS version
• Spotify version
• Does this happen if you're logged in with another account on that device
• It would be great if you can add a video recording of the issue. In case the file is too big, add a link to an external video sharing platform

This will help us look into the matter further.

clean install did not help

Device: Iphone 11 Pro IOS 14.7.1

Spotify: 8.6.62

Yes i tried it with my friends account, issue persisted.
