Hi, can two people listen to the same account at the same time in different devices?

Solved!

Hi, can two people listen to the same account at the same time in different devices?

I'm trying to listen to my account but I can see that my friend is currently using it. Can I use my account while he is as well?

Hello and welcome to the Spotify Community!

You can't listen in different devices at the same time with the same account.

Is the family plan currently available for the U.S.?

Hopefully down the line it will be able to operate with two people using it simultaneously, at least.

This makes me wanna throw myself down 100 flights of stairs every day, js

then why would anyone wanna have the family plan and have up to 6people on it if u can only listen on one device at a time

I've found that you can but only on some devices. For example, My roku tv has spotify and it doesn't connect to my phone or laptop so I could listen to spotify on both devices if i wanted to. I'm not 100% sure if it's just roku or if there are other devices you could do this with though.

My friend and I both have the same spotify she is using mine and we are both listening to different songs at the same time, nit sure how but we are. so it can be done somehow

Yes I agree! It seems ridiculous that my husband and I would require a "family" plan just to occasionally be listening in two different rooms in our same home... please allow at least one second user to the premium plan...
