How best to do "on the go" playlist? (with shuffle!)

How best to do "on the go" playlist? (with shuffle!)

Hi - I love spotify, I love having access to so much music.   It doesn't look like there's a real "on the go" playlist type of function - adding songs to the "queue" is close, but I can't seem to get songs in the queue to shuffle.   Here's a little bit more about my use case, in case someone has ideas how to make this work better:

I'm sitting around in the morning, and start thinking of some music I want to listed to - a couple beatles songs go on first.   The first one or two start playing, then I think I'd really like to hear a couple other songs by some other artist.  And then I think about a few others.   And I continue on in this way - listen to a song or two, add 3-4 more, listen some more, add a few more.  But the key thing is I'd like to be able to shuffle these up!  I would like the order of what's played to be shuffled/randomized.   In my case, I'm ok with repeats, which will probably happen with such a small number of songs.

Or to make it more simple - I'm about to grill, and I want to build a quick, shuffled playlist - 5 of my favorite brad paisley songs, 5 of my favorite Little Big Town songs, 5 Florida Georgia line, and then have it play.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Not sure how much this matters, but should say - I'm doing this on ios (iphone 6 or 7) and playing through my Amazon Echo.

Thanks!   -Dex
