How to play music on Spotify using fifth generation iPod Touch

Hello.  I have a fifth generation iPod Touch that I have Spotify installed on.  I tap the name of a song to play it, but it won't play.  I also have Spotify installed on my iPad Air.  When I tap that same song, the song begins to play.  Why will it not play on the iPod Touch, but it will play on the iPad Air?

Hmm...no reason it shouldn't work on a 5th gen. Have you tried a fresh install of the app?

No.  I have not tried a fresh install of the application on my iPod Touch.  I will try that and let you know how it goes.
