How to search for songs

Hi!
I have updated to spotify 2.0.0.

Since then I cannot find the search bar anymore.

Where is it now?

(I have got an iPhone 5s with iOS8)

Hi there welcome to the community,

When you go to the main sidebar, there should be a button called "Search". Tap at it and a search bar should appear.

I'm also having trouble finding the search feature in this new update. I don't see it in the sidebar

There is no search icon on the left toolbar anymore...

I have exactly the same problem! Since my iPhone updated the app I cannot find the search function anymore. WTF?!??

Thank you for reporting this issue. I will chase it up to the staff and I will post here as soon as I know more about this.

I have the same issue. It was working earlier today and then disappeared (no software change). I can add that I did try something new - there was some search history screen which showed past search searches with a little arrow next to each one. I clicked one, and it gave a blank screen which I couldn't get rid of whenever I tried to search. Since restarting the app, search is no longer available!

I have noticed, that the app Soundhound does lauch spotify with a search bar that you can kind of use, but it too disappears when you click around the app.

I'm have to say I'm not very impressed. The spotify app continues to be one of the hardest to use I've used in ages.

Hi everyone,

If you're affected by this, can you try the following:

1. Restart your device by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.

2. Try a reinstall following the steps here.

If they don't help, can you let us know the following:

1. Version of iOS.

2. Version of Spotify.

I didn't restart the phone, but the following day (about 20 hours later) when I used it again, Search re-appeared? (Prior to this I had terminated the app the evening before and it made no difference). Not sure what difference a new day would make - but I have a photo with no search bar???

This is the latest Spotify version 2.0.0.1643.

I've also noticed weird behaviour with the play queue - but I will report that in another msg.

This **bleep** is crazy. Its a music app. People shouldn't be having this problem. Fix it dammit! Ugh, feel like shooting my device.
