I have recently updated to 2.4.0.1822 (premium) and having problems with offline playback.

I have recently updated to 2.4.0.1822 (premium) and having problems with offline playback. Firstly when I updated the app I had to re-download all the offline songs (pain). Then I found that most of them won't play offline. This was painful as I was overseas and despite my preparedness spotify had failed me! I rely on the offline mode as I work in a remote area.
Any solutions would be appreciated.

Hi there,
Welcome at the Spotify Community!

I'm sorry to hear Spotify didn't work properly for you. Let's see if we can get this sorted for you.

When you go to you playlist overview, are you able to see a green arrow icon next to the name? Or is the arrow icon gray?

If it's gray, could you please click on the playlist?

Does it say something like; "Please go online" or "Please connect to WiFi"?

Also, have you already tried to simply logout and login again? Sometimes a simple thing as this already solves the problem.

Please let me know!

Hi! The playlists I am trying to play have a green arrow (available offline), however when I am offline or in offline mode and go to play them the music play wont start.

I have tried logging out and in again.

The music will play when I am online (wifi or cell) but this is the reason I have premium...so I can play offline...

Cheers for your help.

You may try to fix it by reinstalling Spotify. To do that, please follow the steps in the link below:

https://support.spotify.com/us/learn-more/faq/#!/article/reinstallation-of-spotify

If that doesn't work, I would suggest you to get in touch with Spotify.

You may get in touch with Spotify via their Twitter page (@SpotifyCares), or by following this link to send an e-mail.
If you send an e-mail, please check your inbox (and spam box) to check for their automatic reply. Once you get it, please reply to it immediatly (even if it's from an no-reply e-mail addres) to make sure an Spotify employee will get back to you as soon as possible.

Spotify aims to reply within 24 hours.
