Hi I am having an issue with spotify on my iPhone ... When I press the home button the music automatically turns off or when the screen times out and goes black... The screen has to be on spotify in order for it to work ... I think it is only happening when I plug in my headphones, any suggestions to what the problem is?

I am sorry your having a problem with Spotify for iOS.
Can you uninstall Spotify and reinstall it. If that doesn't solve the problem you can do a full restore but that is the last resort also if you hold both sleep/wake button and homescreen button simultaneously until the screen turns black and the Apple logo shows that might fix it
