You have got this totally wrong you wrote in the original Therese.

In our cars there are no headsets involved. So when you are talking about
upgrading the headset it is not applicable.

So how you can close this issue is actually quite embarrasing for Spotify.
In the Spotifyversion 8.4.8.467 from the 4th of July the problem still
persists

You have got access to Vin-numbers and Spotify user jaygrice85 who works at
a Volvodealer offered you some help so you really have a possibilty to test
and verify.
I can also help if there is an interest

So re-open this issue, go back to your team and do it right, please
