IOS - Playlists Loading

Solved!

IOS - Playlists Loading

I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this particular issue since updating to 8.2.0.549 (or the update before), but when I go onto my iPhone and scroll down on a playlist, the Throbber (loading wheel) appears and I have to wait for the rest of the playlist to load. I wasn't experiencing this issue on previous versions before.  In most cases I have to close the app and re-open it again, sometimes more than once.

Hey all!

Spotify have released a new version of their app. Is this still happening after you've updated your app? Let me know! 🙂

Have a nice day!

Hey @scalv3rt! Welcome to the Community!

That's not cool. Alright, let's get you back rocking again! Could you reinstall the Spotify app? Let me know if it happens after that.

Hey @Huib

Unfortunately, I did that and it only took me until now to re-download all my songs offline again. And the same problem occurs.

I don't know if it could be a problem with the app.

Hey guys, experiencing the same now for a couple of days on the same Spotify app version.
Might be linked to recent iOS update to 10.3 ?
Will.

Hey Will,

I am currently running IOS 9.3, so it may not be related to the IOS.

Hey guys!

Alright, thanks for the info! Is this happening with all playlists? Also, could you restart your device and if that didn't help, your modem/router? Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Have a nice weekend!

Hey Huib,

For me it's happening with big playlists (+200 tracks), fairly randomly. But restarting the device did not improve it. Nor the network, happens both over wifi or 3G/4G. Even offline mode.
Now upgraded to iOS 10.3.1.

I'm experiencing the same issue while scrolling through my larger playlists. I don't think it's an issue with iOS as I've just done the latest update and the problem persists. I did notice that while on wifi, the problem would usually correct itself if I waited it out (usually 20 seconds), but if I'm on 4G, the playlist will remain 'loading' until I close the app.

Just installed the 8.3.0 now
Playlist loading behaviour looks back to normal for me!

Hey @tiwill44!

Great to hear things are alright again! Just give me a shout if anything else pops up.

Take care! 🙂

This update didn't solve the problem for me. I have a playlist with 1000+ songs, and it does the same thing. This didn't happen before I updated to the last version of Spotify. As you can imagine, it's very frustrating.

@huib

I am having the same exact problem and it isn't going away. The problem appears for me for all playlists. The smallest being 114 and the largest 425.
