IPad interface:why so different from pc or iPhone?

I can't really say I'm impressed with the iPad version of Sopitify. Sure it's pretty and flashy and it's got bells and whistles but its not very intuitive and forces the user to change ways of using it depending on the platform you're on. On the pc there's a logic to the way you surf that doesn't really work on the iPhone, and I get that, there's not much space to work on etc and it's just a matter of  riding along, but why an entirely new thing on the iPad?? You have the screen to make wonders and a crystal clear display could even change the way Sopitify works depending on normal or landscape modes, but instead there's this clutter of bling bling, popping up windows that offer no real relevant information except a certain wow factor, and very little in the form of undoing what you just did to go back to where you were before it all mucked up. Here's my wish list:

-a scrolling bar with the songs that are upcoming on the playlist/radio station/ album that will enable you to simply skip forward to a certain song or back or at least be able to control the music better.

-a "back" button. Simple.

-a tab function to be able to do searches and get info on artists and albums while listening to something else and not losing the list you're currently working with. I understand it can be a limited tab function, but something along those line.

i bought and iPad so I could have it mostly for music through Spotify. It's a shame to change a formula that was working so well.

I'm also not happy with the latest iPad design.

I have a company that design and make iPad kits that allow you to dock your iPad in a car and use the entertainment on the iPad to the speakers seamlessly. In my sale of our kits we express the benefits of spotify and how good it is using it as the main entertainment app for the car. 

Since the latest update on the landscape design it looks terrible. The cover art work is smaller, the last song art work is partially seen where as the next artwork should do this instead, and also its all off center, It looks just terrible.

I understand this is nothing the collective will probably see a problem in but its a terrible design idea. Why did you need to change the desing from the last. The last was perfect and did not need changing. Please answer this...

Id love to contact the designer and ask him why he thought of this look and if he sees the problem i have in the feel of it.... Anyone out there feel the same or know if the designers read these comments.
