Invalid local cache?

Invalid local cache?

I just upgraded to an iPhone 5s and had to re-download all of my songs for offline use. I have several songs that simply will not play that were definitely able to play previously. I believe this is caused by an invalid cache file for the song.

I have had issues in the past with my iPhone 4 where several songs that were "corrupt" and would cut off halfway through the song, and was forced to delete the app and re download all the songs in order to fix the problem. I suspect the songs that will not play have the same issue.

Bottom line: I have observed consistent behavior where downloaded songs are not always complete and/or not corrupt. Unchecking the cache and deleting the song from the playlist DOES NOT remove the song from the local cache as the same problems persist after re-adding the song.

Spotify: please implement a hash check for your local cache files and/or allow a single song to be forcibly "cleaned" from the cache so it can be cleanly re-downloaded. Without this I do not believe I will ever be able to successfully cache all of my songs successfully, and i refuse to delete and re-download every time I discover a corrupt song on my device.
