Iphone Spotify app not playing to Sonos

Iphone Spotify app not playing to Sonos

Hi, for some reason I am unable to stream my music from the Spotify iphone app to my Sonos speakers. I am able to listen to music on my iPhone but as soon as I select my Sonos as the output the song will stop playing, jump to the end of the next song and no music. When I press 'play' again it will just jump to the next song without playing.

However, if I use Spotify directly in the Sonos app there is no problem. 

 

What I tried so far: reinstalling Spotify and Sonos app, update Sonos firmware, update router firmware, log out and in on both sonos and spotify, re-register music service in Sonos, disable and enabling control from Sonos...

 

Any ideas?

For what it's worth I am having the same problem all of a sudden.

FYI, deleting and reinstalling spotify app from iphone resolved the issue for me.

Thank you for your reply; I tried it a couple of times and it did solve the issue for a couple of days and then the connection was gone again... Please let me know if you experience it again.

Hi - You are correct. The issue returns after a bit of time. Hopefully
Spotify will address in an update soon.

I‘m having the same problem on my iphone and iPad.

After starting a track via the Sonos app I can control playback via the spotify app again when I switch back. It‘s kinda anoying and I hope the will solve this problem in the near future..

I have the same issue. A fix would be appreciated.
