Iphone only playing previews of songs

My iphone just yesterday started only playing previews of songs.  I have the premium subscription and can't figure out how to play music like I used to.  I have tried loggin out and then back in as well as shutting of my phone etc.  

Has something changed?

Are you playing from playlists or the discover tab?

i'm searching for an album and then trying to play from the first song.  Basically just selecting a song.  

I'm not using discover mode.

Weird, so does it play a bit then skip to the next track?

Yeah.  It says "previewing track.  Hit shuffle play to hear full songs"

so I can only shuffle songs from a specific artist.  I can't play the full song that I want.  At the mercy of shuffle.

Hmm sounds like the app thinks your subscription has dropped to free. Is your account still showing as premium here?

Yeah, it's showing as premium there.  Maybe I need to delete the app and reinstall that?

I'd give it a try and see if it makes any difference.
