Ipod nano 7th gen don't appear under device

Ipod nano 7th gen don't appear under device

I have an Ipod Nano that I just purchased this passed week. When connecting to spotify vie usb it does not show up under devices. I have unplugged it and plugged the usb back in several times with the same result.

Can you please provide me with a solution to this proble?  This is very frustrating.

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Have you tried temporarily disabling your AV software? Sometimes it blocks the 2 from connecting.

Try running Spotify as an Administrator.

Anthony, thanks for the response.  Now I am going to show my ignorance,  How do I disabel AV software?   Also regarding spotify as administrator, do you mean to show spotify as a user?  Sorry for the stupid questions.  I am running MacBook pro .   Again thanks for your help

Hey 🙂

There is currently an issue with Spotify synching with iPods which use the new lightning connector, meaning 6/7th generation iPod nanos are effected and unfortunately due to that are not currently supported. There is an open bug ticket about it here.
