Ipod touch won't stay connected to spotify

Ipod touch won't stay connected to spotify

When using spotify on Ipod touch it will be connected for a couple of minutes, lose connection (even though I have solid wifi connection), then will only reconnect for a few  minutes after 5 minutes or more, before disconecting again.

It is not set to offline mode, all my other internet apps work fine and my software is up to date. Shutting the spotify app and re-opening occasionally makes it reconnect sooner but it still only last a couple of minutes max.

I mainly listen to syched songs to avoid buffering and this makes it a really tedious process

Hey @Jonesworth! Welcome to the community!

That's not cool. Could you reinstall the app and see if that solved it? Also, are you using a VPN, proxy or something similar? Let me know! 🙂

Have a nice day! 🙂

Thanks for the reply @Huib .

I have tried deleting and re-installing the app but it still wont stay connected.

I am currently using wifi at my workplace but it is the same when connected to my router at home. I have an iphone too and spotify stays connected when browsing music whilst connected to the same wireless network. (Can't really use it for listening though as if wifi drops out I don't want to use my data.)

Hey @Jonesworth!

Hmm, sounds like there could be an issue with your network connection. Could you restart your router and see if that helps? Let me know. 🙂
