Latest spotify update - can't add songs to playlist or even play in search (ipad Air)

Latest spotify update - can't add songs to playlist or even play in search (ipad Air)

Basically, since I updated Spotify, when I search I can only play or add one song from a search before it freezes.... I can move away from the search and search for other songs but I can't click on anything that comes up as a result of the search (as in the bit in the screenshot below), even the keyboard wont go from clicking on the screen, that can only be done by clicking the actual button on the keyboard to withdraw it from the screen. it's really annoying as I'm trying to compile a playlist... I've uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled, turned off my ipad and put it back on again, nothing 😕

Hello @liam_c welcome to the spotify community!

I don't have the same problem on my iPad.

I see that you've tried all the troubleshooting steps - turning off and on the device sometimes solve the audio chip errors.

The latest version of Spotify is 1.4.1 can you kindly check? Do you have another iPad Air to test? Because on my end my iPad Mini 2 works perfectly ok.

I do have 1.4.1, I updated it just about an hour ago! I don't have another ipad to test either 😞

This sounds super frustrating...Can you try restarting your iPad by holding down both the power and home buttons for a couple seconds? For some unknown reason, this has helped users solve various Spotify issues in the past.

That didn't work either, I've tried re-installing, soft reset and turning my ipad off and on as a last resort haha, maybe it will just stop happening soon!

@liam_c if you still couldn't to get it to work it'll be good if you can write straight to Spotify Support.

I'm having the same problem with iPad Air (with the latest iOS version). This is very annoying and prevents me using Spotify. Fortunately there's no problems with iPhone 5s (with the latest iOS version) so currently it works as a backup player for me.

It's really annoying that you can't easily downgrade app versions in iOS as some developers releases non-working apps once in a while 😞

Would like to chime in that this is being looked into.
