Link missing when sharing song to Instagram stories

Link missing when sharing song to Instagram stories

This issue seems to be coinciding with my iPhone upgrade and new iOS 13, but when I share a song from Spotify to Instagram stories, everything but the link is shared. You can usually click a link at the top left to take you directly to Spotify to play the song. Instead it just shows a screenshot of the album art and that's it. See attached image and device info below.

Hey! Sorry to hear you're having issues. You might want to check that both apps are on their latest update, as that can sometimes affect the transfer between apps.

There have been a few issues in the past with the two apps experiencing communication issues, but I'm sure Instagram and Spotify are working together to get things resolved. For now, the best thing to do is to make sure everything is kept updated. If it were me, I might try reinstalling one or both apps and seeing if that makes a difference? Hopefully things get resolved for you!

Got the same problem.

Device: iPhone X

OS: iOS 13.1

I deleted Instagram & Spotify and installed again. I made a hard reset of the device. But there's no link.

Yep, I’m continuing to perform basic troubleshooting such as ensuring everything is updated, re-installing the apps and restarting my device. I’m now on iOS 13.1 with both Instagram and Spotify re-installed and continuing to experience this issue. Logging here for record in case. Hopefully this gets addressed soon.
