My Question or Issue

Hi, my local files won’t show up in my library even after turning on show local files in settings. I’m trying to play a song that has been downloaded into my phone files. Any solutions? I’m trying to play the IZ_ONE file.

Hey @JohnM2,

Thanks for reaching out.

Does the folder contain only this file? If yes, can you please try adding another one from a different source and checking if it appears in the app?

Please note that Spotify supports .mp3, .mp4, and .m4p files. It doesn’t support .mp4 files that contain video, or the iTunes lossless format (M4A).

Looking forward to your reply.

I FIGURED IT OUT!!

On the files app, you have to search for spotify (I don't think you can find it in your folders because I couldn't but I saw the spotify folder when I searched it?) and move the file there. Then the local files folder will appear in library, along with the file you just moved.
