Local files don't sync if Spotify version unavailable

Local files don't sync if Spotify version unavailable

Ok so here is the problem:

 

1. Have a track in a playlist that is either no longer available on Spotify or in your region.

2. Add that track as a local file and see that the PC spotify client plays the file instead of telling you the track is unavailable.

3. Check the same playlist on your phone, the local file you use will not sync, the song will not show in the mobile client.

 

If you remove spotifies version of the song from your playlist and add your local version, it will sync. The problem with this is that, if the track ever comes back to Spotify or to your region, you wont know and your playlist will still contain your local file.

 

I don't want to have to use local files unless I absolutely need to.
