Hey @jdvs515,
Thanks for your reply and for the info shared.
In this case, It'd be really helpful if you send us a screenshot or video recording of this behavior you kindly mentioned. You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.
Meanwhile, we-d suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general.

Hey there,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info to understand better what you're experiencing. Would you mind sending us the make/model and OS of your device along with the Spotify version you are running there?
On another note, just to confirm, you can play this files within the app but not add them to your playlists, or you can't play them at all? It'd be awesome if you could clarify this detail for us.
Lastly, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

It is an iPhone 12 Pro Max running iOS 16.2. The Spotify version is 8.8.4.551
and yes, I can play the files, there is just no option to add them to my playlists. It only shows “Add to Queue”
Forgot to mention, I only noticed this after an update that I believe occurred earlier in the week.
Hey @jdvs515,
Thanks for getting back to us with that info.
We've tested this on our end, however we couldn't reproduce the issue. Can you please try reinstalling the app, removing the files from your device and re-uploading them to see if that makes a difference?
Keep us posted.
So, I did a clean reinstall of the app. Issue persists. Then I went into iTunes and deleted a few songs off my phone to make sure the Local Files folder updated. It does. I added those deleted songs back as well as a few others. They show up in the local files folder. I attempted to add to playlists, and my issue still persists. Only option is to add to queue.

Good news! Logging out and in twice did the trick. The option to add to playlist is now back. Thanks!
