Local files on iPhone gone after flight?

I recently went on a flight, and afterwards when I checked on one of my playlists with local files on it, they were all gone. Does it have anything to do with losing connection? Can I get those local files back without my laptop? Will I have to add them to my playlists again? Thanks.

Local files should last 30 days before requiring you to go back online.

I had this problem once and resolved it by reconnecting to the internet and flipping the 'available offline' switch off and back on again.

It made everything available without redownloading it.
