Local files will not sync to phone!

My iphone is connected to the same wifi as my computer, and is also plugged in. Both spotify on my iphone and computer are running and both playlists are marked for offline sync. My local files, after being placed in my playlist do not sync to my phone, even after following all of these instructions. I have re-installed both, un marked and marked my playlists, tried everything, yet they will not sync. I am sick of not being able to get my music which is not on spotify to my spotify. Please help!

Hi, and welcome to the community!

Does your iPhone show up in the 'Devices' tab of Spotify?

Try exiting both then running Spotify desktop as an administrator (right click; run as administrator) then launching Spotify iOS
If that doesn't work; try temporarily disabling your firewall; or creating an exception for TCP on Spotify.exe. I had this problem and it went when I created a TCP exception for Spotify.

My iPhone is not showing up in the 'Devices' tab. Running spotify as administrator did not work either. Creating an exceptiona also does not work. I am incredibly frustrated. Spotify isn't allowing me to drag my files into the 'local files' playlist, which is currently empty. I went to preferences and all sources of music on my computer including itunes are selected but nothing is coming up. I am seriously getting really angry about this. I can't add anything to the local files playlist. 😕

What format are those local files in iTunes stored in? Your entire iTunes library should be imported if that option is selected!

Also, the new songs which I have added to Itunes that I would like to be downloaded onto my phone have not appeared in the total Library.

I fixed it! I exited spotify completely on my computer, then ran it without administrator- I think the problem was that it was syncing files from the administrator account instead of the account I use, therefore when I opened it on this account all of the files synced! thanks anyway though
