Lost all songs

Lost all songs

You know where you can tap the + button to add a song to the "Songs" folder. Well 3 days ago I went onto my iPhone to find all of them have been deleted. I have also went on to my desktop PC and they are not their either. I'm pretty annoyed at this as I have had spotify for nearly  years so it was a combination of all songs that I have listened to since the "Songs" feature was added.

Anyone 😞 ? I've tried logging out and in, restarting the app, uninstalling it, everything! It can't just delete itsself ?

I was stupid: two free Spotify accounts, one on my desktop and one on my Ipad. The one on my Ipad had very different and beautiful music, not played by others...

As I wanted to go for Spotify Premium I wanted to make one Spotify account, so I did.  What happened, I don't know. The  playlist from my desktop still exists, but the rare one on my Ipad vanished. I tried the Help, removed the app, installed again, but logging in it keeps saying that I did not remove any playlist so Spotify cannot recover them...

 

Please help! Or did I indeed loose all my beautiful music playlistst? I filled in the contactform online, but no answers.

@1164791281 -  I've flagged this with the Spotify staff to see if there's anything that can be done, or at least the bug can be resolved. Can you confirm that no one else would have access to your account?

 

@ibk - have you logged into both accounts and checked that the playlist isn't there? You can also log into your account at https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/ and there is an option to recover deleted playlists.

@1164791281 - can you please confirm if these went missing after a particular app update? I would suggest contacting support, if you want to PM me the case number, I can ensure that it's looked at backstage.

No one had access to my account at all. It may well be after the update on the 4th of June, it was around that time. 

I still havent heard anything back from this, can someone help 😞 ?

Can you definitely confirm you don't have two accounts that you are accidentally swapping between? Perhaps you have a Facebook login and a separate Spotify login?

As I said above, you can PM me the support number and I will flag it with the staff.

Something similar just happened to me. Tried connecting my facebook to my spotify and lost all the saved songs on my iphone, but not on the web player? (Also FTR, web player is the absolute worst thing ever).

 

I tried logging out and logging in, logging into another account and logging back in, deactivating my facebook account and logging back in...nothing.

Although the people of Spotify did their utmost to help me wirh many
suggestions....I never found those playlist back.... We have to live with
it I suppose...

Sorry to hear that, although I'm having the opposite problem, I believe. I still have all my playlists, but the "saved" songs in my songs library are all gone. Even stranger, it is only on my phone that I lost my library. (On the web player, I still have it all. It's just the web player absolutely sucks and moves so slow that I can't even choose a song to listen to).

I am going to take a stab at this, if I remember correct on iOS devices when trying to connect to facebook to Spotify accounts there needs to be a device password set for it? Have you tried doing this? Setting a device password for your Spotify account, and then reconnecting your facebook and seeing if the same behaviour exists. https://www.spotify.com/account/set-device-password/

 

You might also have created a duplicate account by connecting facebook to your spotify account, and then when you logged in everything seems to be gone as well it is as it is a new account. Try setting a device password for the original Spotify account, and then connect facebook to it and see where you get. What happens now?

 

Hi. I did never Try or connected my FB, as I do not like everyone being
informed about the songs I am listening to. I think I went wrong as I had 2
accounts with two usernames and passwords. Spotify customerservice wanted
to help me to connect both accounts and there it went wrong somewhere.

I just started having this issue today too. I tried logging out into spotify, out of spotify n out of facebook (i use facebook to log in), setting a device password n logging in that way, all combination of turning my phone off /on inbetween...
