Mac to iPhone Local files not working

I have been trying to figure out how to get the local files from my mac spotify onto my iphone. I bought an album on bandcamp.com and transferred it to itunes on both devices. I added the local source to my spotify on my mac and I'm able to play it there. Whenever I go to the playlist on my phone, none of the songs are there. It says there are 11 songs but none of them are there. My firewall is off, both devices are up to date as well as the spotify application, they're on the same wifi, on the same account, but nothing is working. I've had 2 hour conversations with 2 different spotify workers and both gave up. Has anyone else had this issue? I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone X.
