Mobile app not responding or working at all

Mobile app not responding or working at all

Logged in & can play music on Safari, but every time I download the Spotify mobile app, it doesn’t respond or work at all.

Since the update to the app this morning it’s been buggy, lagging and songs won’t play

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.


The originally described issue sounds like the app is not responsive at all. Could you please elaborate a bit more on that? Are you seeing the logo when you start the app? Are you able to log in and start a playback? In any case, it's a good idea to reinstall it with the steps here and force restart your device. Here is more on how to do that. 
 

@gimpboy76 we'd recommend logging out and then logging back in two times in a row on your phone. It sounds a bit odd, but it forces a sync between the account and your device. 

 

It's also a good idea to remove any apps or services that Spotify may be connected with or affected by and check if the issue continues.

 

Lastly, we'd suggest that you try with a different network. If you're on mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi and test if the app behaves the same way.
