Hey @Dekkerslcw, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Let's take a look.

Could you try restarting your iPhone? After you do that, allow 24 hours and see how battery usage is during that time - let me know if it gets better or no difference at all.

If you're still having issues after that timeframe, try reinstalling the app following these steps.

I'll be here so let me know what happens!

Hi, thank you for your reaction.

I answered you already yesterday but I cannot find it so I will do again.

I have hard reset my phone already last week, not a better battery performance now.

But it's not just about that. I think Spotify app causes the trouble with the battery performance and crashing the app.

I removed the app before and reinstalled it later.

No improvements!

Do you know more things to try to improve it?

Hi I bought a new iPhone and it went well for a few weeks. Now it is happening again and also on my iPad. Can the update from a few days ago cause the problem?

Hi @Dekkerslcw,

Thanks for the reply.

We can't say for sure if this issue is related to the most recent update.

Could you check if you have Background App Refresh on? You can check this by going to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.  Try switching this off for Spotify and let us know if that made any improvements on the battery usage.

Keep us posted.

Hi

we changed the button for refreshing.
but that won’t change crashing the app I suppose. What to do with that?

regards Lynn

Hello

I changed that and we will see about the battery.

But that will not solve the problem crashing the app I guess? What to do with that?

Regards Lynn.

Hey @Dekkerslcw,

Thanks for your post.

The Background App Refresh could have also been the reason for the crashes you were experiencing. If the issue persists it's a good idea to check whether or not the app has all necessary permissions enabled. To do this open your Settings menu and scroll to the bottom to find Spotify and open the app setting. Allow everything you see there.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted how you get on.
