My iPhone 6 won't shop up under devices on iMac

Hi all,

I've just created a new playlist on my iMac that contains several local files. I want to be able to transfer these local files to my phone for offline listening. However my iPhone will not show up under devices, I have tried several methods such as disconnecting the internet and reinstalling the app etc but no luck.

I do not have a firewall enabled either so i'm struggling to see what the problem could be.

Anyone else had this problem or anyone who has any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
