My iPhone won't play sertain songs on Spotify

Some of the songs won't play, even though Spotify says that they're playing. The songs are all downloaded.

To check, does this just happen on downloaded playlists saved in Offline Mode, or over regular streaming, too?

We'd recommend testing this via multiple WiFi's and over mobile data to see how it performs then.

If you could be more specific about what's occurring, that would help. Do you mean that the timer scrolls in realtime through a song, even though no audio can be heard? Do any error messages pop up? What happens when you select to skip a track?

We'd also like to know if the playlists affected contain any Local Files, and exactly which playlists this happens for. For example, are they all your playlists, or do you see this happening with other Spotify-created playlists that you save for offline listening?

I'm having the same exact problem since upgrading to ios 11 on my iPhone 6S.  I can play songs on remote devices like an amazon echo or my sonos speakers, but I'm trouble when I try to play just on my phone, using earphones, airpods or even just the phones speakers.  The song is there but refuses to play.  Other songs will play, but it is very hit and miss.  Skipping through tracks, it refuses to play just about every other song.  This has to be some kind of bug associated with the update to ios 11.   I was fine this morning before installing the update.

If this is still happening, could you try the below for us:
-  Reinstall: https://support.spotify.com/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/

- Restart your device

Also, if this is happening with offline songs does heading to > https://www.spotify.com/account/offline-devices/ > and clicking Remove All help?
This will mean you'll need to re-download any offline tunes after, but it should help to clear things up.
