My liked songs stuck on downloading forever

I am also experiencing the same issue and also my liked songs stuck on downloading forever as if a song hasnt being downloaded but I checked and all of them has downloaded. This issue doesnt occur in other playlist other than my liked songs. Also the "couldn't open link on this type" isnt an account problem as I have tried multiple accounts and still same issue, its just on my iphone. I have tested on other devices and they dont show this problem.

That being explained, since you mentioned you've noticed issues when downloading your liked songs, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can find out the steps to do it here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, would you mind sharing with us the make/model and OS of the affected device along with the exact Spotify version you're running there?

As per the couldn't open link error, reinstalling the app should fix that behavior. Nonetheless, if you continue to see it, we'd recommend keeping the app up-to-date, so you won't miss any developments in the matter. We really appreciate the time you take to report this; these details help us a lot. We can confirm the right team is aware of the inconvenience and is currently looking into this. We expect this will be fixed soon, but we don't have further information about when it is going to be sorted out.

I press the download icon, it spins for a bit but the songs don’t download. The icon appears next to them but it isn’t green. This is my first time doing this for a while, I haven’t hit limit and have lots of memory on device

This just recently started happening to me as well. Each time I open the app, it will start redownloading my liked songs from 0. I have close to 10k so as you can imagine, this takes quite a bit of time and bogs down my phone. If any other lists have new songs such as a blend or a mix or a new playlist, those are pended *after* the likes songs download so I am unable to listen to them offline for hours and hours. I have reinstalled the app and this did not help. Samsung Galaxy S21, Android 14, Spotify version 8.9.8.545

Thanks for the reply. Could you please try the following:

• Does the issue also occur in offline mode and on different networks?
• When did this start happening? Did it coincide with an app or OS update?
• Does it happen every time you start the app, regardless of how much time has passed between the restarts?
• If possible, try logging in with a different account, from someone you know or by making one yourself and see if it still happens.
