My Question or Issue

This has happened just after the recent update to Spotify on IOS and it’s making the app unusable. Recently my music hasn’t been playing correctly, when a song starts it acts as if there’s no connection and won’t play. I have Spotify premium and the songs playing have been downloaded to my device for offline play and it still happen in offline play. I can hit the pause/play button many times and it still won’t play. Sometimes if I skip ahead to a song and then skip back to the previous one it will play but recently that doesn’t even work. I could deal with it a day ago when it was once and awhile but now every song does it. This feels like a major issue as the music is unplayable rendering the app useless. I hope this issue can be fixed soon as this is a very terrible bug.

UPDATE: it’s gotten worse, now music just won’t play at all.

Hi @PurpleIce,

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

I first recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your iPhone, as this can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If a clean reinstall doesn't resolve this issue, a couple of other steps I'd recommend trying include logging out everywhere and then logging back in again; and toggling Audio Normalization from the app settings.

Let me know how it goes, and have a good day!

This still hasn’t worked but I’m going to try uninstalling and reinstalling

Hello, I have the same problem and have tried both uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as logging out of all devices and the problem still persists. Help would be much appreciated!
