My Question or Issue

Hi! I have a problem. When I play music on spotify, names of songs disappears from lock screen. First it seems normal but then it disappears and won’t come back until I close spotify and open it again. Then after some time it disappears again. I have deleted the app and downloaded the newest system updates to my phone but nothing helps.

Hey @St1999,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the Spotify version you're running on the affected device?

On another note, would you mind checking if you can replicate this behavior on a different mobile device? It’d be awesome if you could check. You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or friend to open your account and check.

Lastly, would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you see on your side? That way, we can better visualize what you kindly mentioned.

Keep us in the loop!

Hi! Just checked that the version is 8.8.34. Problem is still going on even though there has been new updates. Couldn’t try my spotify in another mobile device but spotify app is working fine in my macbook. I added a screenshot from my lock screen so you know what I’m talking about.

Hey there @St1999

Thanks for getting back in touch.

You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

If this doesn't do the trick, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your iPhone to see if they can replicate this with their own account?

Lastly, does this only happen while you're listening through headphones or while you're streaming directly on your phone as well?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hi and thanks for your answer! I did the clean reinstall but it didn’t help. I also noticed that the problem appear only when I listen through headphones. I played whole evening music through speaker of my phone and problem didn’t happen at all. So the problem probably has something to do with headphones.

Hi @St1999

Thanks for letting us know!

Could you try with a different pair of headphones to see if the issue persists?

Additionally and just to confirm, were you able to try if the same happens with a different account on your device?

We'll be waiting for your reply.
