I have playlists completely synced to my iphone. When I play them they still load (partly?) from the internet. This is a problem on roaming.
When I go offline they dont use internet, but I cannot use any other spotify functions.
Always switching online/offline is not a smart solution. Please prevent offline playlists from using internet, or give a setting which would allow us to do that.
Other spotify functions should remain working so I dont want to use offline mode.
Thanks
Peter
Hmm, actually I thought this bug was fixed a while ago.
I've moved your topic over here in the help section since this shouldn't happen with the newest version.
Maybe @Peter__ knows how to go from here. 😉

The loading of artwork should mos def be optional, preferrably the other data consuming processes should be too.
hello thanks for your replies. It was about 50-100 MB for 20 songs. It is not much, but on roaming it is a lot! Please could you implement a setting which would prevent all data use when listening to offline playlists? (or at least to limit it to for example 5 MB for 100-200 songs)
Actually we can already prevent this by either setting spotify in offline mode (than I can use only very limited functions and need to switch it on and off, which is not good if I switch between home / roaming network each week) or iphone airplane mode (which is also useless).
Thanks
Peter
Hi what do you think about implementing this setting?

Hello
I didnt mean the classic offline mode. When I am abroad listening to OFFLINE playlists I would like to prevent any data download by spotify itself, however I still want to be able to search in the databases and mainly I want to see and edit my playlists. Which should only consume few data?
Also it would be fine to have a setting to enable this "data saving mode" always when I am on roaming.
Do you think it´s possible?
Thanks
PEter
