My Question or Issue

If I want to play the song „I’m Good“ by Bebe Rhexa and David Guetta it won’t start playing. I can listen to every other just but not to this song. It’s also not shown that a song is playing when I click on the song and every music stops as if I just closed Spotify.

Hi @brokkolijpg,

That's odd. Can you please try opening these two links in an incognito browser and see if any of the songs work?

Hi @brokkolijpg, thanks for writing.

Does it only happen on your iPhone or on other devices as well?

Just to confirm, is this the song you're trying to listen?

Hi,

yes this is the song.

it also happens on my Windows Laptop (a Dell, Windows 11).

Ok @brokkolijpg,

Can you please try reinstalling the Spotify app on your iPhone and see the issue persists?

Yes I tried it! Sadly it didn’t work tho:(

Hey @brokkolijpg,

Since it also happens on a Windows PC, I guess it might be an account related issue. In this case I suggest you to try and play that song on your own devices using another account, if possible.

Besides, it would be great to have some screenshots or videos from both devices so I can see the exact behaviour and possible solutions to the issue 🤓

Hi,

sorry for answering late. I’ve made a video on my iPhone. It behaves the same on my Windows and it still doesn’t work.

Hey @brokkolijpg, thanks.

Can you please upload it to Google Drive and share the link here? (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it)

Anyway, I noticed that the song is marked as Explicit - so please check this article to see if it that might be the reason of this issue.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

i checked the thing with the explicit and I already have it on so I can listen to explicit music.

here’s the link for the google drive video:

Hi @brokkolijpg, thanks for that.

Can you please try to play other songs by this artist to see if you're be able to?

If not, you could double check if the artist is blocked on your device.

Here's how you can do it:

Go to the Artist profile > click the 3 dot menu. If you see "Allow to play this artist" this means that you've blocked this artist in the past and that you need to choose that option in order to listen their songs.
