Playback Speed on iPhone vs Laptop

My Question or Issue

I listen to podcasts at 3.5x speed usually. Recently, I noticed that some podcasts don't allow me to listen at 3.5x speed on my iPhone while others do. Some podcast episodes are maxed at 2x speed on my iPhone but the same episode can be listened at 3.5x speed on my laptop. What is causing this difference?

Would you mind sending us the URI of the podcasts/episodes you're experiencing this with? 

Also, sending us some screenshots of what you're seeing on your end would come in handy. You can attach them to your next response by using the Insert image option in the post editor. Make sure not to send any private info.

Lastly, could you let us know the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your devices?

This is Rogans podcast but it is happening on other podcasts as well. 

Using latest version Spotify on iPhone 14 Pro Max

In order to look into this further with the relevant team, let us know the following info:

- Your device info (make/model) and OS version

- Exact Spotify version

Also, would you mind checking on a different mobile device (using your own account) to see if the behavior persists? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

I made the original post, sorry I have not responded since then. But @Markhansen240 posted a good screenshot. When I originally posted the issue, I was using an iPhone 12. Now I have an iPhone 16 and the problems still persists. Here's an example. Lets say I listen to two different podcasters. Podcaster 1's episodes have the speed options up to 3.5x so no problems on all episodes. Now Podcaster 2's episodes only have speed options up to 2x speed on iPhone and it is that way for all episodes. But when I go onto my macbook pro, podcaster 2's episodes all have a 3.5x speed option. My spotify iPhone app is 9.0.2.419 - Hopefully this helps some.

Rogan and other podcasts had speed up to 3.5x up until I posted this issue. I definitely haven’t had it as long as you, but it still frustrating. Especially when most of what I’m listening to is above the 2x

What version are you running on your MacBook

Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.53.438.g246d60c9

And on my old phone I deleted the app and redownloaded it which did not solve the issue at all
