Playlist sync stuck at "pending"

Description

I just got a Spotify premium account, but so far have not been able to sync any playlists for offline use on my iPhone5.  My phone is recognized by the desktop client, but when I check a playlist to make it available offline it says "Pending" on the desktop, and the spotify app just says "0 of 133 tracks synced."  Even after leaving it for an hour, nothing happens.

I have restarted the app, done a clean re-install (including clearing cache and cookies) on the phone, have turned the phone on and off, completely closed both the desktop client and app and reconnected them a number of times.  I have attempted to sync multiple non-local playlists and all remain stuck at "pending."  I have not gotten any error messages of any kind.

I have an iPhone 5, running iOS 6.0.2.  The device is not jailbroken.  The Spotify app was downloaded today (1/1/13) so I assume it is the latest version.  I have about 15 non-local playlists, and 33 local playlists.  I have not been able to sync any of these.  I am on AT&T but attempting to sync on my home wireless. I have EXACTLY the same problem!!!

I have a Premium account and the first two months everything was syncing perfectly, but since three months the Spotify Mac Client stopped syncing the local files... every other playlist can be synced, but as soon as I manually check "Local Files" it remains in "pending" status forever! This is a real shame, because I'm paying for syncing my local files to devices and it is not working...

The ONLY temporary solution I found is to install the old iOS4 Spotify Client on my iPhone 5 and with it the local files syncing goes fine, but, I mean, it is not supposed ofr us to use an old version when the new iOS7 client is out!

Dear Spotify Team, please solve this issue, otherwise I will downgrade to the free account since now this feature is fundamental for me...
