My Question or Issue

Since a week ago or so, I can only scroll less than a day’s worth of podcast releases in the New Episodes playlist before I reach the end of the list.

Hey there @Federicaom

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Just to confirm, is this happening across devices or only on your iPhone?

If it only happens on your iPhone, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to your account on your account twice in a row. This will trigger a sync between your device and your account.

Additionally, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if that makes the difference?

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi Eni, thank you for your help.

I’m not sure if it’s happening across devices as I only use Spotify on my phone.

I tried logging out and in twice/restarting my phone and changing internet connections but the issue persists.

Thank you again!

Hi there @Federicaom,

Thanks for the post.

This is most likely happening because the 'New Episodes' tab is being replaced by 'What's New' for music and podcasts. Can you check if you can access this on your phone? Simply click on the bell icon in the top-right corner on your mobile app.

You should be able to see a longer list of new episodes for the shows you follow.

More info here.

Hope this helps.

I get the same issue on my iPhone 13 Pro Max (US), new releases goes back less than a day. Before the latest update, I could scroll back to as far as I wanted for new podcast releases.

I see that notification bell, but its says," Nothing new in podcasts." I took a screen shot to show.

Hey @UMDTERPS,

Thanks for your replies and for the info and screenshots shared.

In this case, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the exact OS and Spotify version you're running on the affected device?

On another note, is this happening on a different mobile device? It’d be awesome if you could check. You can ask for the mobile device of a relative or friend to open your account and check.

Lastly, would you mind sharing with us the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far? If you haven't yet, you can try what @Eni and @Alex suggested above.

Keep us in the loop!

Hello,

iPhone 13 Pro Max (3rd Gen)
Apple iOS: 16.4.1
iOS Spotify Version: 8.8.30.499

Its also happening on my iPad Pro M1
Apple iOS: 16.4.1
iOS Spotify Version: 8.8.30.499

I have signed out twice and also tried re-installing the app. Also, on the web version, sorting is broken for podcasts as well. When you look at "Podcasts & Shows" > "Date Added,"  the podcasts are not in correct "recently Updated" order, it's kind of all over the place. I have attached a screen shot for that as well.

Thank you

Hey folks,

We've forwarded this to the relevant team here at Spotify, however, we can't confirm when it will be addressed. In the meantime, please make sure to keep the app on your devices up-to-date.

Cheers,
