Podcasts don't work on iPad? How can this be?

I would like to liste to podcasts on my (new) iPad and error message says they can't be played on the device. Software is latest for iPad and Spotify? What is going on? Why doesn't Spotify acknowlege this? Where is the fix? I've seen other threads when someone from Spotify asks what version people are using and nothing get resolved. Why can't we get an answer. If podcasts work on iPhone, than why not iPad. I plan to cancel Spotify unless I can get a decent answer.

I'm having the same problem with my ipad. I'm thinking about switching to Amazon's or Apple's music service. I'm tired of encountering issues with Spotify that don't get resolved.
