My Question or Issue

For the past month or so ive been having issues with playing podcasts from Spotify. I press play and nothing happens, regardless of what network im on or device. It just shows me the bar loading and then nothing happens. No error messages come up, and nothing looks amiss except that the time stamp stays at 0:00 when i press play. I have tried re-installing the app, checked for updates and tried it on both IOS and Windows with the same result. I can play music from the app just fine, its exclusively podcasts that wont play. It comes and goes. Sometimes i have no trouble for a few days and then others one minute i can listen to them and the next it stops working and i have to wait until it somehow fixes itself?

Just to confirm, is this happening with all podcasts or only with a specific one? 

 

First up, we suggest that you try logging out and then logging back in to your account twice in a row. We know it sounds odd, but this will trigger a sync between your devices and account. 

 

If the issue persists, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?


Lastly, we'd recommend checking if the OS of your devices has any pending updates.

It didn’t work and I’ve tried all of this and it still won’t let me play a specific podcast (welcome to night vail) I don’t know if it’s specifically that that’s the issue because it still lets me play other podcasts

Have you tried playing this specific podcast on another device or playing it from a different account on the device you're currently using? It's worth checking to see if the issue persists.
