Poor sound quality on Ipad(2), not on Macbook Air

I experience poor sound quality when playing from my Ipad(2), while playing from my Macbook Air is just fine. Especially bass is distorted.

Any suggestions? Maybe it has to do with iPad's soundcard?

have you tried going to setting/playback and changing the equalizer settings, there is a bass reducer setting on there, I have an ipad 2 with quality set to extreme and it sounds pretty decent to me and on par with my macbook.

Thanx, with this setting it souds much better! Now adding bass with the settings on my soundbar.
