Premium account not recognized on Iphone device

Hello,

I have a Premium account, but the Iphone app is not recognizing it. When I play a song it says for premium users only. I have tried the suggestion on the Blog to log out and logged in a bunch of times but stll have the same issue.

Please help.

Have you only just recently upgraded? If so, I would suggest you have a read at and try the steps outlined in this post.

Hi Rafael, welcome to the Community. 

What's happened here is the Facebook profile you used to register has been deleted/ deactivated. Please reactivate that account to keep that account running smoothly.

Does this mean we can't use Spotify if we have a deactivated Facebook account?  If so that pretty much means I'll have to cancel my premium account and switch to a service that doesn't force me to use Facebook.

If you created your Spotify account using Facebook, then you need to keep that Facebook account active to continue using your account, since they are linked. 

Spotify do not require Facebook connectivity anymore, I wrote a tutorial here which details how to migrate your account but it takes a little manual work!

Thanks.  That's a great guide.  Having read it, I don't think that's my problem, as I never associated my Facebook account with my Spotify account (I disabled my Facebook account years ago).

I think my problem is that I can no longer use the iPhone app unless I have a Facebook account.  When I log in, it immediately takes me to a page where it demands my Facebook details.

I should probably create a new thread for this.
