Problem with Orientation - iPad with LifeProof Nuud Case

I use a LifeProof Nuud case with my iPad 4th gen. The case allows for the iPad to be on a stand at two different positions, one almost 90 degrees, and one at about 20 degrees. I often use the20 degree one which used to always keep the orientation right. Now, When using Spotify, every time I put the app in the background, close it, or lock my screen, when I come back the orientation will reset to portrait. I can switch the orientation back to landscape by double tapping the home button.

Please fix this as it is. Extremely aggravating to have to reset the orientation every single time I leave the app.
