Random track not working on device

Random track not working on device

Why isn’t my track randomization working on the app, when I try to play one of my playlist, after the first track I chose to listen to it continues to play only one of the artists consistently on the playlist and doesn’t randomize the playlist at all, also if I try to play one specific band after the first track it totally changes what I personally wanted to listen to and will only play that artist it changed to. Please fix that on the app because that is not what I would expect on the app especially when paying for your services

Hiya dmalloy909, I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with shuffle (I think that's what you meant if not lemme know) not working on your Spotify app on your iPhone 8. There are a few things that you can try to fix this issue:

  1. Clear your cache: Clearing your cache can help resolve issues with shuffle not working. To do this, go to your iPhone's settings, then to "General", then "iPhone Storage". Find the Spotify app in the list and tap on it, then tap "Offload App" and confirm. Once it's offloaded, tap "Reinstall App" to reinstall it.

  2. Toggle shuffle on and off: Sometimes toggling the shuffle option on and off can help resolve the issue. To do this, go to your playlist, tap on the shuffle icon, and turn shuffle on and off again.

  3. Reinstall the app: If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Spotify app on your iPhone. To do this, press and hold the Spotify app icon until it starts shaking, then tap the "X" to delete it. Go to the App Store and reinstall the app.
