Re Order Playlist by Artist

I have an Iphone 4S, is it possible to arrange playlists alphabetically by artist? It seems to do it by date you download / save to playlist which is quite annoying.....?

Not on the phone itself. You can do it easily with desktop app (at least the PC one).

Go to your playlist on the PC client, sort by artists from the top, Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Delete, Ctrl+V. It should rearrange correctly in the phone.

Thank you so much! I've always deleted the whole playlist just to make a new one with the exact same songs just to get it sorted by artist.

Okay. This was a great tip. Thanks. But seems that it does not work with starred playlist. Here is the story. I spend my whole day to organize all my favorite song to the starred playlist folder. And deleted other playlists. Then I push Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Delete and finally Ctrl+V and then there pop-up an error message: ''You cannot paste the current content in this view.'' And now I'm screwed. I cannot paste this songs anywhere. All my music has now gone. I will now give ADVICE TO ALL THAT THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH STARRED PLAYLIST. IT WILL UNSTAR ALL YOUR FAVORITES. Again thanks! Now I'm going to get drunk.

Spotify playlists alphabetically Am I being dim I can't work out how to do this, I have all my playlists down the left hand side but have no idea how to select them all, do I need to put them all into a playlist folder 😞

Its not possible to sort playlists by name I'm afraid.

I know this post is a bit old now but I spent a long time this morning trying to find out how to sort a 200+ track playlist by the artist. 

On the Android app at least, when you open a playlist you are greeted by the thumbnail at the very top, the tracks below. 

If you swipe down just a little, you show a search bar and a sort function at the top! See attachments
