I am having issues loggin in to the new verion of the app on my iPhone 6. I type my e-mail and password, and when I choose "log in" it states "An account is already created with this e-mail." I've tried resetting my password and everything. It seems like the "log in" is treating it as a "register" with that error message.
What happens if you use your username instead?
There is a current bug in the iOS app that causes some local files with (parenthesis, commas, dashes, etc.) to not sync. This might be what is causing you to have problems syncing.
The developers are currently investigating this bug. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
The iPhone app has never had landscape mode.
If you want landscape mode, add a kudo to this idea:

I'm so happy that it now fits on the screen of my iPhone 6 plus. Well done!

On previous versions on iPhone when you tap the track currently playing to expand the "now playing" mode you could dismiss this view with a pulldown gesture from the middle of the screen. This is no longer possible on version 2.2.0, and on bigger iPhones tapping the upper left-hand corner to go back to the main view is difficult to do with one hand.
Two steps forward, one gesture back. Please fix.
The ability to dismiss the "now playing" screen with a pulldown gesture has been missing from the app for over a year ever since they updated the app for iOS 7. In previous versions prior, you could dismiss the now playing screen.
The developers are aware of how challenging it is to reach the upper left-hand corner on the iPhone 6 and 6 plus.
Hopefully there will be a better way to dismiss the now playing screen in the future.
Thanks for the correction on this item, I must have not noticed till I got an iPhone 6! Here's hoping the developers are working on a fix for this usability pain point (Pretty Please....).
P.S. "The Developers" of Spotify should look at the Pocket Casts podcast app on iOS, it has a similar "now playing" control bar that expands to fill the screen -- it can be minimized with a swipe down, and also includes a lateral swipe function to view additional content. HOW do they DO it?! (I couldn't contain the sarcasm, sorry).
Wow, haha thanks. My username works. That's probably why it asks for username.
Having trouble finding the new "Top Tracks in Your Network" playlist. I read that it's a button somewhere in browse, but I cannot find it either on the iOS app or my desktop player. And yes I have updated both to the latest software...please help!
@tpcasey7 see at the 1st post:
After this update, the app will not open.
iPhone 6 Plus, 128GB, ATT.
It goes to the spotify splash page and then crashes. Have reset, and restarted phone.
I have also been unable to access spotiy on my iPhone since the upgrade. Every time I open the application, the application crashes and I am brought back to my home screen. I have hard reset phone, it did not help.
iPhone 5s; 16gb
I was hoping this release would fix the issue of it not syncing with itunes anymore, but it hasn't...? Ever since the update before this one the desktop app will not sync from itunes for me - local files is skipped, and any playlist that contains local files is skipped. 😞
Hi there. After updating to the previous update, the cover art was showing fine in my car while connected to the USB. After updating to 2.2.0, the cover art problem from before came back again? Is it possible to rectify this issue again as you guys already repaired it during the previous update. Thanks!
Hi,
as soon as I start Spotify on my iPhone 6 (16 GB), the app crashes (I don't even see anything in the Spotify app).
I only get the white screen with the black apple logo and then after 3 seconds I see my logon screen.
As many others have that problem will there be a fix soon? (On the iPad 2 it works properly.)
Which additional information would you need?
Cheers,
Chirstopher
