This thread is an attempt to capture how many people are experiencing problems with the spotify iphone app.

If you are experiencing regular crashing problems with the iphone spotify app, please write which iphone model you have, which IOS and which version of spotify you are running and finally if your iphone is jailbroken. Also include approximatly  how often the crashes occur per playing time

Please only post once to this thread so its easy to count the number of people having this problem.

In some respects, this is like a petition. 

My details:

IPHONE MODEL: 3GS

IOS 5.1

SPOTIFY VERSION: 0.5.2.374

APPROX CRASH FREQUENCY: Every 40 mins of playing time

JAILBROKEN: YES

not jail broken

running newest spotify, have unistalled and reinstalled multiple times, and fully restored my phone.

this has been going on for two months now and will be canceling my service asap if it is not resolved...im tired of not being able to play my music. 

it crashes as soon as it loads, never can get past the main browse screen.

The app crashes on every startup attempt on my iphone 4. App and iOs are updated.

@erikrostvik - Have you tried a clean reinstallation along with a device reboot by holding the home and lock buttons together until the Apple logo appears on screen?

mine crashes every 5 minutes on spotify premium. i have a 2nd generation ipod touch not jailbroken

Every time I try to open the Spotify app on my Iphone, it won't open. The Spotify logo appears and waits about 5 seconds and then returns to the home screen of my phone! 😞

SPOTIFY CRASHES EVERY THREE OR FOUR SONGS ON IPAD 1, ALWAYS, ITS USELESS UNFORTUNATELY. I DONT MIND PAYING IF IT WORKS... SEARCH ENGINE REALLY SUCKS TOO...

@zuma Have you tried restarting your mobile by holding the Home and Lock buttons together for 10 seconds? What iOS version are you using?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4; spotify update 0.9.2 (Jan 8, 2014).  Crashing upon opening app.

After my Spotify app was updated to 0.9.2 (Jan. 8, 2014), it crashes everytime when I try to open the app (within 3 sec). Neither restarting the app nor the phone helps.

iPhone 5c

iOS Version 7.0.4 (11B554a)

No jailbreak.

I'm using Spotify premium.

Have you guys tried a clean reinstallation at all?

The iOS app crashes on both my iPhone 4s and my wife's iPhone 5.

I'm afraid to uninstall the app and lose playlists and local files.

You can reinstall and your playlists will be saved remotely by Spotify, but you will need to redownload any offline playlists including resynching local files from your computer.

APPROX CRASH FREQUENCY: Evertime I change the volume

JAILBROKEN:  NO

I used it for years on my phone without issue and now once I updated the OS it crashed 😕

I used the app every day to and from work until yesterday when it started crashing every time I opened it before it even loaded the home screen. It just puts up the three dots like it's loading and then crashes.

I have:

iPhone 4S with the most recent versions of Spotify and iOS7 😞

My phone isn't jailbroken or modified in any way
