Hey all,
I'm running into a slightly annoying issue with the Save Album feature on my T-Mobile iPhone 5s.
I was in love with the feature originally, and saved a lot of albums I know I love for easy, future access. I also use the Starred playlist to keep track of stand-alone songs that I really enjoy, but never saved the albums those songs were in or the actual songs themselves since I could easily access them in the Starred playlist. This worked perfectly for me for a while, and my Saved Albums section was really neat and tidy and contained all of my favorite albums.
Then, after a couple of weeks, I suddenly noticed one day that duplicate albums as well as other albums I had never saved containing only tracks from my Starred playlist had appeared in addition to the albums I had saved. For example, I had Bon Iver's "For Emma, Forever Ago" album saved since I like that album a lot, but also kept a few of the tracks on that album in my Starred playlist because I especially like those songs. It used to be that the full "For Emma, Forever Ago" album appeared only once under my Albums tab because I had saved it, but now a duplicate copy containing only the songs I had starred has appeared in addition to the full album. Also, the albums of individual songs from my Starred playlist are appearing in the Saved Albums tab, too. For example, I have one song from Jay Rock's "Follow Me Home“ starred, but I never saved it yet the album has appeared under the tab (See attached images).
Basically, Spotify is treating all the songs in my Starred playlist as if I had chosen to Save them even though I never did. All the albums of the songs in my Starred playlist are now showing up in my Saved Albums tab--some only containing 1 or 2 tracks (from my Starred playlist)--in addition to my actual Saved Albums, making my library very messy and long.
I'm not really sure what the best way to tackle this issue is, and I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!
Best,
Victor
*Edit 1: I figured it was worth noting that I do download my entire Starred playlist as well as all my Saved Albums for offline access

Hi. I haven't noticed this myself but I did add all my starred tracks from the starred playlist at the outset and I haven't added anything to the starred playlist. I do know a lot of people were wanting starred tracks to be saved to Your Music automatically but I wasn't aware this had been implemented. If it has, then I guess the answer would be to move all starred tracks into a new playlist called "Favs" or whatever. It's no more difficult to add tracks to a different playlist these days, now the * has gone.
I just tried adding a random track to the starred playlist and it didn't get added to Your Music by the way so maybe this only applies to iOS.

I just realized that the most recent songs I've added to my Starred playlist don't show up in my Saved Albums now...strange. It could be that I just accidentally dragged and dropped all my Starred songs at some point to the Your Music section through a misclick hahaha...
LOL 🙂
I just went through my entire starred playlist and unchecked everything which solved the issue. Really, really strange to me though because I swear I never checked those songs...
I swear there's a ghost in my Spotify.
